North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank is a project of The MOM Foundation. North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank loans a cloth diapering kit consisting of 20 diaper changes to families in need for no cost. Applicants must provide photo id and verification of being a current participant in one of the following programs: WIC, TANF, SNAP, or Medicaid. Applicants experiencing extreme financial hardship such as but not limited to natural disaster, medical expenses, and unexpected job loss will be approved on a case by case basis. All information regarding recipients will remain confidential. North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank does not charge a fee for diaper kits, as this bank operates by distributing cloth diapering supplies that are donated and may be previously worn. Each diaper will be pre-washed and properly sanitized by SUDs Diaper Service prior to lending. Preferences and needs of each family will be carefully considered to choose cloth diapering supplies based on donation inventory. Approved applicants will be notified by email, phone, or other applicable method and will pick up the diaper kit from a mutually agreeable location by appointment. Diaper kits must be claimed in person by recipient. Recipient agrees to remain in good contact with The North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank throughout the duration of the loan, providing updated contact information. Obtaining accessories such as cloth wipes, wet bags, diaper pail, laundry detergent, etc. that may not be included with the diaper kit is the responsibility of the applicant. Recipients are responsible for caring and washing the diapers for the entire loan period via washing machine, hand washing, or Laundromat. Diapers without PUL can be dried in a dryer. Diapers with PUL should be dried on a clothes line, drying rack, or suitable substitute. Ideas for simple and easy substitutes can be provided upon request specific to recipient’s situation. Full care and use instructions will be provided for your convenience. Diapering supplies are accepted in “as is” condition. Recipient agrees to accept responsibility to properly care for lent cloth diapering supplies and return to North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank, clean and dry, upon completion of potty training, reaching diaper independence, or no longer needing the loaned diapers for any reason. North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank’s diapering supplies are a loan and are not to be sold. The recipient will be charged $50 and ineligible for diaper loans in the future should the diaper kit not be returned to North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank upon completion of potty training. By applying, applicants agree to the following conditions: Recipients will accept cloth diapering supplies in "as is" condition with no warranties, express or implied. Recipient, on behalf of all those who wear, use, or otherwise handle the content of the cloth diaper kit, assume all risks arising from using the cloth diapering supplies. Recipient releases and waives any and all claims and/or damages against North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank, The MOM Foundation, SUDs Diaper Service, and the owners, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents of any of the foregoing related in any way to North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank and/or the cloth diapering supplies and agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The MOM Foundation, North Alabama Cloth Diaper Bank, SUDs Diaper Service, and with respect thereto.
